Well our all new 3-foot long "The Shark" has been a smashing success! We are so proud of this shark. We are very proud of all of them. What a cool family business! But that’s not the whole point of the update. I have several points to make with this one, so here’s the first point:
Point one, the new 3-foot Bruce Sharks are flying out the door. Our production rate has never been better. And our all new "Build a Shark" pages are a smashing hit. Just like we dreamed about and hoped for. We always wanted such a thing for ourselves but nobody ever did it. So we did. What fun! Build your own shark, you decide the additions and customizations. Such a no-brainer I don’t know why we didn’t do this back in 2008? The second part of point one is that we have also improved many other facets of the shark business as well. While we still could not find a better pure resin to update with we have made upgrades to much of our shop space and equipment in order to make the sharks even better. The most major improvement so far has been to speed up the production process. That and we now have even improved how we double box and ship each shark. The key to this has been to study how big business does things and adapt these tricks to our needs. So not only are these newest sharks our greatest works yet, they are also higher quality than before and ship to you safer. A lot of goals have been met and exceeded this year here. It is a pure joy to see things work out so very well. Now onto the next points. What about new sharks? What about completing the 1/25 scale Ultimate Bruce Shark Collector’s set by releasing the Bruce 3D and the Revenge Bruce; when, Mike, when? Good question. That depends on the entertainment industry bouncing back from the obamacare crisis. Currently most entertainment projects are up in the air and many investors are just playing the waiting game. So in turn, many like this family that earn a living providing material to these projects must wait and see as well. That’s simply the reality of the State of the Nation’s economy today. Wait and see, play it by ear, hope for the best, wonder what is next... But it was like this last year, and the year before too and still we were able to work 3 separate film projects providing FX. So it can be done. It can still be done... Now where this is good news for collectors is this; should our first contracted project be pushed later into 2014 than Q1 then we’ll simply switch gears and go back into releasing the rest of the Ultimate Collector sharks. That simple. Because only then will we have the time to keep up with all the added orders. But should America suddenly find some stable financial legs for the first time in 5 years and the producer call us into pre-production on time or early, then we may be looking at releasing both the Bruce 3D and the Revenge sharks simultaneously near end of Q1 to Q2 2014. This is as far as we can forecast things ourselves based on all that we know and can see. Plus, we have other things to release as well. Some sharks and some not sharks. Oh yes, there are so many things, so many...... But for now we are focused on getting these new 3-foot sharks out to their new homes. We are only one wave of shipments away from being one final run from being caught up to all paid in full orders just in time for the holidays! Please feel free to contact us to see if we can accommodate you if you have other customization ideas beyond these. There are many things that we have done already including much more heavily gored displays. As we have time we will try to photo other variations and integrate them into our Build-a-Shark page to make communicating exactly what you want a much easier process. We have already shipped many new sharks and will be shipping this next wave and beginning the following wave of Paid in Full Sharks before Halloween. We will be lowering our wait times from Paid in Full status to shipping down from 90 maximum to 2 to 4 weeks maximum. This of course up until we begin pre-production on our next film. Mike, Cathy, Stef, Jake, Samuel & Rachael Schultz We have been asked this MANY times this month, so we thought to share with the community that we will be completing our 1/25 scale Ultimate Bruce Shark Collector's Set with both the 3D Bruce and the Revenge Bruce maybe as soon as middle of Q1 2014; dependent on the -as yet unsettled- start date for our next FX contract. Yes, the prototypes are done. As a family and work force of 6, we cannot handle the additional workload that releasing one or both of them would entail at this time.
Remember, we are not like those corporations that promise complete sets but then don’t deliver. Everything that we have promised we have fulfilled. The Ultimate Collector’s set will be completed soon. Who knew that just soon after releasing the first shark in the set that we would be contracted for providing the FX monster stars for 3 SyFy films in a row? What an incredibly busy year! We even accomplished a move to a smaller house in there somewhere too! But during those times we were still able to not only keep up on orders but we also released the 2nd shark in that collector’s set as well. Bruce 3D and the Revenge Shark are coming. Soon. We have a lot to share, but not all the time in the world. So, if you are considering collecting one of our SCO sharks then we seriously urge you to do so while we are in-between these movie contracts. Our prices are lower than anyone's, even our own since 2008; AND we offer easy interest-free Flex Pay options. Nobody else has, is or probably can release such incredible & accurate sharks, so large as these and so well constructed as these, especially for these insanely low prices. They simply would run themselves bankrupt. The profit to labor plus expense ratios is so low that you would have to have an extremely hard working and dedicated family of at least six members living on a small farm raising their own food to be able to make it work. Yep. Just imagine owning such a fine historically accurate film shark like one of ours for much less than many hero and monster collectibles half the size are sold for by those big companies. And we make it all right here in America ourselves, not imported from China nor outsourced to Mexico. Six Americans out of Missouri provide all the labor and love for each shark and each stand and all the other work involved. Small business is what made America. As it stands we have more than received the number of orders that we expected with the release of these 2 newest 1/8 scale sharks. We are confident in our goal to make sure that all paid in full sharks up to this date are delivered before Christmas. We feel that we can make many more for a Pre-Christmas ship out IF our next film contract holds off to its Q1 2014 Pre-Production start date as expected. IF you want it for Christmas, but you have not ordered or paid in full yet then we highly recommend such. We do not wish to pressure, so if having it by Christmas is NOT a goal for you then please do not overextend yourself. We are just attempting to meet the needs of those that want such. Nothing more. As it is we have a lot of work here to accomplish so I end this update with a HUGE thank you to all of you that are so kind and encouraging to us. All pricing and questions will be answered then. Any who wish to add themselves to the early notification list may email or PM us whatever contact info they wish to provide. The early notification is a no strings alert; we are simply giving 24 hours head start. There is no pressure to order.
Currently our idea is to include within the early notification email a link into our new shark's separate sale's page[s], approximately 24 hours before we make the link live to the public. Info and purchase to be conducted normally from there. Then the next day we simply publicly open said link[s]. Due to customization options for these new sharks they will be released exclusively on our sales site only and nowhere else. Nobody else is set up to provide and track the personal customization's that we wish to offer at this time. We reserve the right to limit or end the run as needed, and to modify these plans as better solutions are found to handle these needs. Those that want early notification before we open the sales page to the public will have their chance to view and order their sharks' first. Sharks will be constructed and shipped in order of the order time/date plus Paid in Full status. This rewards those that order first with their shark's first at lower production numbers. If there is a way to make this more fair please feel free to share it with us. At this time we simply will not have the shark sale's video completed, nor as many photos as we like posted up. The sales page will be a work in progress, and as such added to along the way. We wished and have worked very hard for a glamorous reveal but in the end the real priority is simply getting people a shark if they want it. Sale's page prettiness can be improved as we go.. we hope you agree as well. Our secondary goal is to also release a second surprise shark for Pre-Order. Nobody knows about this on yet. Another of what we hope is a community wide stunner and jaw dropper. We'll just wait and see? I do apologize for our lateness in releasing these 2 Awesome New Sharks. It is just an enormous amount of work to accomplish. And my injury and inability to walk very well has slowed things down.
